Our Benediction to Benedict

You FOTS know we are far from Catholic here and unlikely to host Hosanas to the uh Host , or to the Hostess as the case may be .
An exception is made today for the exceptional Pope Benedict , who will soon retire w health concerns . We hope he will now speak , ex Cathedra , as they say , and as simply a man . Not sure if that is how it all works , but he has spoken as a man before , and we are betting he still knows how . We hope he will feel less constrained by the office , and be willing to speak out against certain  outrages common among the um , ummah . FGM for instance . As a man of his times he believed strongly in evolution , using longer ' Days ' in Genesis as , to us , sounds reasonable enough from his POV , to rationalize the discrepancies  . He saw what was obvious to most , the mountains of archaeological evidence supporting evolution  , and angering many , he supported its teaching .

A few of you know the Pope was a fan of our Heroine , the recently deceased Oriana Falachi .

She strongly defended Western Civilization in a way few since Martel have done .  The way Popes once defended all of Christiandom back when they were willing to fight for her , as may become necessary again . Her essay linked above is fundamental to this site , ( and go read it all , right now , we will wait here ) , ( I am not kidding , we are not going anywhere until you read it ) . I hate to reuse this , but future reading of this piece is forbidden ,  until Oriana has been read to the last dot . Your PDUS reading will be limited to the far less satisfying Mind Reading Only . A great many clever witticisms will be lost , so make your choice carefully .

Did you read it finally ?

Good .

Thank you .

The Pope got into trouble a few years back , when critical of the coming Caliphate . He correctly pointed out that God would support freedom of thought , and logic , while opposing conversion by sword , and the unending  marginalizations  of greater infidelity .  He should have pressed the issue but the um ummah had a temper tantrum , ( as they did over the Mohammed Comix ) killing quite a few  in their Riots over having been criticised . The situation was complicated by the islamic belief that the Koran was irrefutably God's word and law ,  and by the Catholic definition of Peter's office .

I have an aside here to address a thorn in my side about the body of the Church . It is so obviously under attack today , that even Heathens rush to its defense , when it lacks the courage . When jihadi Sirhan Sirhan attacked RFK , it was an attack on Christianity by his lights . You will recall also Mehmet Ali Agha late of the ' Grey Wolves ' . The media laughably portrayed that group as ' Right Wing ' for being ' Nationalists ' . What they were was jihadis , wanting to add another stan to the back end of their hometown's name . Ahga's attack on John Paul , was like Sirhan's , a jihadi strike at the Heart of Chistiandom , and an  attack against  the leader of it .

According to the media tho , Agha  was a right wing nationalist .

I am betting Benedict knew damn well that John Paul's was another jihadi assault , and it shaped his opinions on the assault that has not stopped in 1400 years , but needs to . History will crush political islam because they have to do so . It is only a matter of time . Erkel of course , as advertised , has been friendly to islam .This strikes many , including us , as being overly generous w the Coombyallahisms . He seems oblivious to just who did what to whom on September 11 , 2001 , and inexplicably wishing to reward them for it  .

Benedict knew , and spoke out about it . We are hoping he will now speak out more about moral equivalence ribbons being awarded to every worldwide participant . We are not after all , playing little League Baseball here . This is the Big Leagues , and 9-11 has proven it . Those having that equivalence recognized , will first need to prove morals . Lets start w equal rights for everyone .

There is only one proper way to celebrate Benedict by our lights , in our typical fashion imbibing Benedictine . The Monks of the Benedictine Monastery started making that Divine elixir in 1510 .
PDUS keeps hoping to find a case in our mail , to ease our Benedictions .

Pray for that result  FOTS , and for our friend , Benedict .

  1. An exceptional post, Preptile! Thank you very much.

Don't wish to go off-topic but, having nothing else at this point to add about your thoughts above, I have an aside question regarding last night's state-of-the-Prez-mind address --
I did not watch it, but do you know, or can you find out -- did he really say shortly into the introduction:

"Please refrain from shouting 'YOU LIE!' until the end, or we'll be here all night"

    ?

  2. I am delighted to have missed his Majesty , msaero , as he dispensed his misery . The News clips have been nauseating , Erkel style .

BTW , the speech was beloved by those Gallup polled among unemployed Baristas needing a raise at their next stop gap job . 53% 'strongly approved' his message , w another 20% supportive . I guarantee that survey was not taken in Texas , where those numbers would have beeen in the ' strongly disapprove ' column .

  3. I watched the Rubio response w the GF swooning the whole time as he served up something resembling Gerber Cereals .

Then FOTS , I found the Tea Party response which made Rubio's weak tea , look weak kneed .
Please follow the link below as Rand Paul makes his case to run as Ted Cruz's VP in 2016.
That IS our endorsement BTW .
    Pray for them .

  4. You've changed, and, while I enjoyed your humor, I like your new substance. I finally read the Oriana Falachi article attached. It's moving, and terrifying about our world. When I think that we were so deceived as to elect, and re-elect the disengaged one -- who prepped for his campaign, rather than follow-up on 9/11/2012, it makes me more serious too.

  5. If I have persuaded a reader to read her piece , I have done a good job for today .
Got two emails from readers this week . One had stayed up most of the night reading columns here , and another read the ' Wonder Puppy Post ' , and cried .

Both made me smile , as did the above .

Say , are you related to Steve ?

  6. Hmm.

    Firstly, P, excellent postage.

    2ndly, msareo !!!!!! Still lol-ing here.

3rdly - I watched it all and threw up in a bucket. He makes my skin crawl when he starts using that pleading affectation in his voice ...as in "we simply cannot prevent people from voting...." WTF?

When he used that straw weenie I had to change buckets. Sorry to offend.

Fourthly - (!) I liked Marco's (!) response when he said "Mr President....blah blah blah" and took it to him..which he did more than once and quite well. Maybe some of those hizzpaniked voters will take a 2nd look because of him. I know some ladies will.

  7. Well, MARK Levin just agreed with me on Hannity tonight re: MARCO's back-at-ya-Preezi speech last nite. He praised Rand Paul's as well.

  8. Heh! -- I laughed out loud when I read Prep's comment about the continuous loop that plays inside his head every time he attempts to listen (well-- at least WATCH) the Prez speak. (Funny, when I imagine that loop, Preptile's voice is the same as my brother's!)

When I first read the title of this piece, the morning after the SOTU speech, I thought Prep was referring to Benedict as in Arnold -- it was a happy mistake.

Suzy -- sounds like you could use some Prepto Bizmo!

  9. Dunno how many of you guys watched that Rand Paul response . His big finale was to threaten the RINO establishment w Term Limits .

We should have them now w a ONE TERM LIMIT .
We do not need Professional politicians and their pensions . The system was designed for Citizen legislators . Now , w essentially a lifetime salary , going to Congress is like winning the Lottery . You will never have to work again , because you will be a member of the Ruling Class .

Wanna know how we got in financial trouble ?

    93% of incumbents get re-elected .

We should make re-election illegal .

    ReplyDelete
  10. There's one aspect of that I'm not so sure about, Preptile -- a lifetime pension is a LOT of money for just one term. If they're going to haul in big bucks they might as well be (sort of) earning it.

I don't think there should be such over-the-top compensation. Surely GOOD people would step up to represent the citizens without such hefty compensation / benefits.

  11. Another observation by way of an example: Kit Bond (R) is now out of the Senate -- but did he return to his hometown in mid-Missouri? Oh heavens no -- he still resides near the Potomac. His "estate" is still in Mexico, Missouri. It's hard to believe that he's known much during the last several years about how to relate to the area he represented.

  12. I got an email today from new reader Constance pointing out that Congressional children are exempted from rules on repaying student loans .
Congress is exempt from Obamacare too .

It is a Congressional perk .

I have another suggestion for Congress .
    Salary is 50k .

Total compensation for 2 years of service 100k.
Congress should be where you go to serve the Country , not get rich ' servicing ' the taxpayers .

  13. Good Thorsday Morning FOTS

Prep is waiting for lightning to strike postagewise , but says it isn't even cloudy yet so it will probably be tomorrow . As usual mark your calenders , and make sure to wake the Children for the family reading .

He has a Prep Position about that .

  14. I know you are all curious.

He got me a box of Andes Mints but no Flowers.
    They were good.

OH,I support these Grrls. So does Prep.
He sends Valentine's Greetings to you Barnyard Grrls (who I advise to stay away if you value your safety).

  15. The whole box .
She ate the whole box by 7:09 am .
    Twenty eight minty pieces .

I was planning on eating some of them too.

  16. [Did you have to make trips to restaurants 28 times to get them all, or did you manage to double-up sometimes, Preptile?]

    HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. I feel like I should be passing out little candy Hearts . Do schools still do Valentine's day ? Remember counting how many you got in third grade ? There are probable facebook equivaleneces today w how many ' Friends ' you have . Same deal among the Twitteratae who count tweet 'followers' .

That was one thing that killed off the Mothership . Catherine was more into tweeting during the last months , than writing her column . Her bunch of twits and twats killed that site , and I think , we are all that is left of it .

    ReplyDelete
  18. You still believe that! HA! I never did, but as Hillary would say "who cares?"

A FoxNews Alert from me. Today preezi visited Atlanata to speak about how every baby (if it is born) should get free pre-school...a f/u (follow up, not FU) to his big SOTU the other night.

The school he visited was out on holiday today so the administraition of the lucky school had to round up a passel of urchins to make his photo-op look good. Geez. Why could he not have done this in DC and saved the money and the traffic woes.

  19. He looks like he has a spoon for a tongue.

  20. 3d grade? No! the sidebar! --and yes, Suzy, he does! Love the hair, too!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Oh , that Baxter .
Ted Baxter and Mr ' B ' from Hazel sprang to mind , but I was even more clueless than usual , and flumoxed . This also explains the spoon reference above . ( Which I presumed was Erkel in that Photo OP ).

And yes , spelling it out for those confused FOTS reading along , Suzy spurns my Telepromptage suspicions .

In plain English , I believe Catherine Limbaugh wrote that column as a gag to amuse her BF , who fed her all those juicy tidbits .

Sharia would probably say she was his ' sock puppet ' . I think she would be right .

  22. I'm leaving to go make dinner. I will end by saying: I am thirsty for MARCO!

Did you hear Rush said he sent a case of Two if by Tea to the Florida Senator?

    ReplyDelete
  23. The MSM implies the man may have a serious water addiction . If Rush gives him a Tea affliction too we have no hope for 2016 .

    ReplyDelete
  24. I think I may have a water addiction myself , and that is what is causing all my recent water weight . I did not realize I had been overabusing it , but my scales do not lie .
If they did I would get new ones .

    ReplyDelete
  25. I think she is gaining weight .
    Her fingers look fatter .

  26. Yes ,I am working on new postage . It might be another day since I am feeling lazy .

I think the future Mrs Preptile was seen driving thru the park today in a red convertible . She was preoccupied w a street beggar and missed me completely . Her loss . Maybe I could get his job , or enter the bidding for his corner .
